State of Colorado
The Colorado Department of Public Safety will replace the current Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The AFIS will house both criminal and civil fingerprint records, and must interface with the existing Colorado Crime Information Center (CCIC) system that houses all criminal history records. All local law enforcement agencies in the State will be able to match fingerprints captured at the local level with records in the AFIS database. The contract was awarded to MorphoTrak on February 23, 2012 in the amount of $6,728,701. Cogent was the only other responding vendor. READ MORE
Deschutes County, OR
The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office will acquire a Jail Management System (JMS) for the Deschutes County Adult Jail Expansion. The Jail Management System will replace the current RMS/JMS as a stand alone system and may manage information such as commissary, medical records and booking. The contract was awarded to Colossus, Inc., dba InterAct Public Safety Systems on December 16, 2011 for a total amount of $170,805. The Sheriff's Office will make payments of $16,575 annually for each of the five years of maintenance. READ MORE
State of California
The Western Identification Network (WIN) will replace the current Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) environment. The next generation Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) will provide updated technology and equipment that will enable a standards-based and open architected environment capable of providing fingerprint and palmprint matching of over 18 million civil and criminal fingerprint records. The AFIS Replacement contract was awarded to NEC in February 2012 for $14M over 7 year core contract period. READ MORE
City of Lynchburg, VA
The Lynchburg Fire & EMS Department will implement a Records Retention Management System Upgrade. The system upgrade will replace the Department's current software system which is fourteen years old. The system will assist Fire Fighters and EMS in Fire Reporting and Fire Inspection Reports Modules. The procurement will include system software, installation, training and a warranty. The contract was awarded to ImageTrend, Inc., for $66,400.00 on December 1, 2011 under a state contract. READ MORE
