CJIS GROUP

CJIS GROUP monitors federal grant programs used by state and local justice and public safety government agencies for planning, procurement and implementation of information technologies. Information about grant programs detailing allocated and awarded grant monies is collected to assist CJIS GROUP government users in pursuit of grant support and vendor clients that use the information in a similar manner for their government clients and for market analysis and lead generation.

Grant Allocations and Awards
Presentation of grant allocations and awards by state, program, amount and announcement date. A list is posted once the announcement identifying recipient agencies selected by the federal granting agency is made available.

FEMA Announces Next Steps for FY 2012 AFG AND SAFER Grant Applicants
FEMA has announced that FY 2012 AFG and SAFER grant applications are being processed and will undergo peer review panel evaluations in the near future. Award announcements will begin in late September and continue on a rolling basis until all FY 2012 AFG and SAFER grant funds have been awarded. The list of new awardees will be posted each week on the Awards page for each grant program on the AFG website.

AFG 2012 Application Period to Open Soon!
FEMA has announced that the FY2012 Assistance to Firefighters Grant application period will open June 11, 2012. Completed applications must be received by Friday, June 29, 2012. See the CJIS GROUP Grant Guidelines for a summary of the solicitation.

FY 2012 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) State and Local solicitations are released
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) has released the FY 2012 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) State and Local solicitations. The JAG Program provides states and units of local governments with critical funding necessary to support a range of program areas including law enforcement, prosecution and court programs, prevention and education programs, corrections and community corrections, drug treatment and enforcement, crime victim and witness initiatives, and planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs. Areas that are to be addressed with JAG funds include: law enforcement programs, prosecution and courts, prevention and education, corrections and community corrections, drug treatment and enforcement, planning, evaluation and technology improvement, and crime victims and witnesses.
